Sugan Shegar
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Sugan is an oral and maxillofacial surgery trainee, educator, and innovator working at the intersection of reconstructive microsurgery, craniofacial reconstruction, and simulation technology. A faculty member at the Griffin Institute, one of the UK's most established microvascular training centres, he teaches advanced anastomotic techniques, leads research into the future of microsurgical practice, and has developed novel techniques in anastomosis. Driven by the limitations of existing training models, he designed and built the Rheos Microperfusion System from the ground up. At Rheos Systems, he leads the company's vision, strategic direction, and mission to bring accessible, high-fidelity perfused simulation to trainees and educators worldwide.
Abdul Ahmed
Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer
Mr. Ahmed is a Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial and Head & Neck Surgery across multiple London NHS Trusts, with over a decade of consultant experience. A prolific author of textbooks on Maxillofacial Surgery, Microvascular Surgery, and Head & Neck Cancer, he is a national and international speaker who leads courses in microvascular and reconstructive surgery worldwide. He serves as Regional Specialty Advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons, Educational Supervisor for the London School of Surgery, and Ambassador for the Mouth Cancer Foundation. At Rheos Systems, he contributes deep clinical expertise and academic standing as a founding member.


Leo Saturnino
Chief Commercial Officer
With a background spanning surgical education, preclinical research, and programme leadership, Leo currently serves as Surgical Training Lead at The Griffin Institute, Director of Microsurgery Training, and Honorary Lecturer at UCL. He has trained hundreds of clinicians from junior to consultant level, developing advanced curricula across microsurgery, robotics, and simulation-based education. His experience as a licensed research surgeon includes supporting in vivo studies and advancing animal-free training methodologies aligned with the 3Rs. At Rheos Systems, he drives commercial growth across sales, partnerships, and training integration, bridging clinical education and commercial execution to support the company's mission to redefine realism and accessibility in surgical training.
